Corrections to Last Database Update

The last update to the IP to Country database had several rows missing due to an error in our generation process. This has been rectified and the database updated to include the missing rows.

Apologies to all for any inconvenience this might have caused and thanks to our user Till Kr�ss for the heads up on this error.

Forums Closed for House Cleaning...DB Updates WILL Continue

With spam drowning out all signals, it's time to put the forums in hibernation while we sweep out the v*agra pills, the adult pics and links definitely NSFW...

The IP2C DataBase updates WILL continue as before...even though the latest one has been slightly delayed.

Country changes

in 2006 the country:
"CS","SCG","SERBIA AND MONTENEGRO" (no longer avlid)
split up to:
"ME","MNE","MONTENEGRO"
and
"RS","SRB","SERBIA"

You have entries with RS and ME with empty 3 letter code and country name

in 1945 Krea is split to 2 countries:
"KR","KOR","REPUBLIC OF KOREA" (South Korea)
"KP","PRK","Democratic People's Republic of Korea" (North Korea)

Problem uploading csv to MySQL

I have tried following the many suggestions in the handbook to upload the csv file, and each time I have a different error.

I am using the PHPMyAdmin import utility, and selecting CSV using LOAD DATA, then I set:

Fields terminated by: ,
Fields enclosed by: "
Fields escaped by: (blank)
Lines terminated by: \r\n
Use LOCAL keyword: (not checked)

I select the csv file using the BROWSE button to select the csv file from my local filesystem.

99.* is a ROGERS.com IP block from CANADA

Its showing up in xFire as somewhere in Europe. xFire claims to use this database and that I should inform you of the problem.
