The IP to Country Database

I noticed that there are many IP addresses that are unknown to the current IP-to-country database. I am recommending that you provide a simple form, perhaps in one of your site's side boxes, that allow for us (the end users) to provide you with 2 pieces of information: 1) the unrecognized IP address, and 2) the country that we know it is from. This information could be sent to you for you to verify before adding it to the published database.

I am bringing this up because I manage a website for a West African band (www.mamadou.com), and many of our viewers are from Africa. I know this because I use a webcounter capable of identifying the locations of our viewers, independently from IP-to-country. However, when I review a list of viewers identified by IP-to-country, consistently the African IP addresses are unknown. If I could easily visit this site and enter in the IP address and country of the unknown entries, then you could easily be up to date by the next published month.

Sounds like a good idea. I also notice on my site that for some visitors to my site from African countries their country is not listed in the database.
