The IP to Country Database

I developed a new package that makes use of the ip-to-country database. This helps you set up a file filled with rulesets that can be installed into the Linux kernel with iptables. You can pick and choose the countries you wish to block. The package is very easy to set up and includes easy to follow instructions. It can be downloaded for free from FixingTheWeb.com. You can also check out a demo and read the documentation online prior to downloading. It also includes a utility that lets you enter an IP address and display the country and the range of addresses it falls into, plus it will display the same information for the 6 ranges that come before this and the 6 that come after it.

Hey ! your IP address blocker utility is really awesome. I appreciate your effort. May be a liitle decoration would have added to its value. Otherwise it it is very user friendly.

Country blocking for websites on shared servers

In addition to my original country blocking package for dedicated servers, there is now a version that is designed for websites running on shared servers. It makes use of the ip-to-country database and is very fast. You can download the new package at http://fixingtheweb.com
