The IP to Country Database

Hello,

This database has been very useful to my own uses, great work!

I've seen other ip-to-country databases that also provide city and region information. Is there any possibility in providing a similiar (larger) database that would include this information as well?

The information tends to become less accurate as you get more specific, but we will provide this eventually. Also coming is information related to countries like currency, capital city, language, etc.

Hi Biznatch,
I have what you want. DB size is 80mb. After zip is 13mb. Ip-country-region-city. Monthly updates available.
If you want to buy cost is $75.00 with 12 months updates.
If you want free then we can barter(as i have paid for the db). I need application for video conferencing, 'live' webstats, get statistics derived from above db ie. daywise, weekwise & monthwise report on howmany people visited from which country. And i should be able to zoom into the country to see same data based on region & city, Ecommerce website development software, etc.. Anything in above will do but should be best with 4/5 stars

Currency, capital city not important but regions or cities

the information like currency, capital city, etc is not of much importance than the region or city details. the language specifics can however come to be more useful for sites in multiple languages.

Ip to country and currency, capital, language, time info

I am using the Ip to Country database to get the name of the country. Once I have the name, I can look up the Capital, Region, Currency, Population (2003 Estimate), Current Date and Time, Language and Popular Cities.
There is a separate DB for Popular cities.

Here is how the information looks like: (Example Country Afghanistan)

Country: Afghanistan (AFG)
Capital: Kabul
Region: Asia
Currency: Afghani (AFA)
Population: 26,813,057
Current date/local time: Mon, 10th 11:17 PM ( STD )
Language: Pushtu, Dari Persian, other Turkic and minor languages
Popular Cities (this will be a link)
